Dwyane Wade is a superstar in Florida, playing for the Miami Heat, so his marriage made headlines when it happened, but there are many things that people may not actually know about his wife. One of those things is that she had Wade sign a prenup before the marriage could come about.
Reports of this recently came out, and the woman was asked about the decision. She said that she simply wanted to protect what was hers, saying she needed to keep her "stuff" safe. She made this statement while on the talk and comedy show called "The Arsenio Hall Show", where she was doing an interview with the host, Arsenio Hall.
The woman is a star in her own right, having performed on a television show that is called "Being Mary Jane." The show runs on BET.
This is not the only show that she has acted on, however, as her career has spanned the years -- she is actually older than Wade by almost a decade. Among many other credits, she started her career around the time that she took a guest role on "Saved by the Bell."
While it is easy to see why two people with so much money on the line would be in favor of a prenup to protect their wealth, the truth is that prenuptial agreements can be used by anyone to make sure that they are safe within a marriage. Before tying the knot, it may be wise to learn more about how a prenup legally works in Florida and the various protections that it can offer.
