It’s been written about numerous times on this blog and advised to clients of divorce attorneys and family law practices: A prenuptial agreement could be a wise consideration before the marriage is performed.
So consider the thoughts from developer and television personality Donald Trump to recently married Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg:
“So he’s gonna be worth like $US18…does he get a pre-nuptial agreement?” Trump reportedly wondered to CNBC before news of the wedding was released. “They get married, and then for some reason over the next couple of years they get divorced and then she sues him for $US10billion and she hits the jackpot.”
They were wise words indeed.
This blog has covered the use of pre-nups as wise and protective fiscal move, and the need for pre-nups, whether the marriage last a long time or fizzles quickly. It’s an important topic for any couple.
